Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the adhesion between the tip of main magnetic pole and a magnetic recording medium, by providing a groove at the tip of a high permeability magnetic substance core and increasing the anti-wear performance of the magnetic head plane through filling of anti-wear member in the groove. CONSTITUTION:A main magnetic pole 11 consists of a high permeability magnetic substance such as ferrite and sendust the tip of which is located opposingly to the recorded plane of a magnetic recording medium. This main magetic pole 11 is bonded with a non-magnetic holder 12 at both sides and clipped with the holders 12. At the tip of the main magnetic pole 11 opposing to the magnetic recording medium. a groove 15 restricting the tip thickness TA of the pole 11 is provided, and glass 16 being anti-wear member is filled in the groove 15. The linearity of the tip edge of the pole 11 is assured through the use of the magnetic substance material with good anti-wear performance such as ferrite and sendust as the quality of the pole 11, allowing to perform high density recording excellent in short wave characteristics effectively.
