Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve high density recording and repoduction, by writing in through the use of a magnetic field of a main magnet pole yoke with a specified thickness by a signal from an auxiliary magnet pole of a recording/reproducing head making a vertical magnetic recording and by reading out from a gap adjacent to a written in magnetic pole surface. CONSTITUTION:A ring type head 51 is located at the side in contact with a magnetic substance layer 12 of a vertical magnetizing film medium running toward an arrow 6, and a signal write-in auxiliary magnet pole 41 is located at the opposite side through clipping with a magnetic substance layer 12 with a base 11. A nonmagnetic gap 54 for reproduction is formed at the part of the head 51 brought into contact with the magnetic substance layer 12. A tip 52 of a yoke 53 opposing to the yoke of a core where a coil 55 of the head 51 is wound is formed thinly and the thickness of the main magnet pole 52 is made as 10- 100mum. The recording write-in in a short wavelength is made at the tip 52 and a short wavelength signal with an ultra high density can be written in. In this case, the write-in signal magnetizes the tip 52 by flowing a current to a coil 42 on the magnet pole 41. A thin film layer in which high magnetic permeability and high magnetic flux density can be obtained is formed at the outside of the yoke 53, allowing to increase the current sensitivity of recording write-in.
