Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a marked head of long life which secures the writing and reading of record and is hardly damaged due to a crack, by forming a core part of an amorphous ferromagnetic metal thin belt. CONSTITUTION:To both sides of amorphous thin-belt core 5, nonmagnetic reinforced plates 6 are bonded by the use of low-fusion-point glass, etc., to form core part 1. Next, slider part 2 made of a ferrite forromagnetic substance and concave part 7 of core part 1 are butted and bonded together by a random adhesive to obtain a magnetic head. The above-mentioned magnetic disk head provides secure recording because of high saturated magnetic-flux density (about 12,000 gauss) of amorphous metal used as a core material and takes a secure read because of little decrease in magnetic permeability at a high frequency. Additionally, since the amorphous metal is high in hardness and flexible, no damage due to a crack occurs and long life is realized.
