Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a vertical magnetization type magnetic head which achieves signal recording with high precision by determining the position relation between a main magnetic pole and an auxiliary magnetic pole with high precision, by holding and fixing both the magnetic poles in a holder of united structure. CONSTITUTION:A couple of holders 11 and 12 made of nonmagnetic materials are each composed of the 1st block body 11a (12a) facing to the recording surface of a magnetic tape and the 2nd block 11b (12b) provided successively opposite to the 1st block body at a prescribed distance. In the mutual juction surfaces of the 2nd blocks of the holders 11 and 12, grooves 11c and 12c are provided and when the holders are joined together with an adhesive 13, the grooves 11c and 12c form a hole 14. Into this hole 14, an auxiliary magnetic pole 15 is inserted. Between the juction surfaces of the 1st block bodies 11a and 12a, a main magnetic pole 15 made of magnetic thin film such as permalloy having high-magnetic-permeability with a <10mum thickness is sandwiched. The auxiliary magnetic pole 15 and main magnetic pole 16 are placed at a prescribed distance with their opposed tips.
