Abstract

PURPOSE:To make accurate area measurement integrally with a printing line possible by processing the detection outputs of the reflected light of the light irradiated by two sets of light sources consisting of plural photodiodes on the substrate front side and spaced at prescribed distances from a printing surface by means of circuits including a multiplexer on the rear side. CONSTITUTION:If the position of a detecting head 10 is adjusted with guide rails and the like as a guide, the height (x) of two sets of symmetrical fluorescent lamps 11, 12 spaced by a distance (k) from the center of plural photodiodes S0- on the front side of the substrate of a head 10 from a printing plate 20 is made equal to the distance (k).
