Abstract

PURPOSE: To treat org. compounds efficiently at a low cost by adding iron salt catalysts and H2O2 to org. compound-contg. waste water of above 50°C controlled to ≤3pH and subjecting the same to oxidation decomposition treatment, then to sand filtration and ion exchange resin treatment.
CONSTITUTION: Waste water contg. soluble org. compounds is fed into an oxidation decomposition treating tank 2, where it is heated with a heater 6 under stirring with a stirrer 5; at the same time, H2O2 water is mixed with the treating water from an H2O2 water tank 3 and iron ion-contg. liquid is mixed from a dissolving liquid tank 4. The heating temp. of the treating liquid in the tank 2 is preferably 60W70°C. The liquid after the oxidation decomposition treatment is fed into a sand filter tower 7, where it is removed of the suspended solids therein, thence it is fed into an active carbon tower 8 and is subjected to active carbon treatment, whereby the residual H2O2 is decomposed. Thence, the treated liquid is fed into a cation exchange tower 9 and an anion exchange tower 11, whereby it is adsorbed away of org. acids and anions.
