Abstract
PURPOSE:To stabilize quality, and to enable production on an industrial scale by mixing c, Al, Si, Ti, Zr and Mn inspecified quantities into an alloy, the principal ingredient thereof is Co, the secondary ingredient thereof is Cr and purity thereof is specified value or higher. CONSTITUTION:The alloy, the principal ingredient thereof is Co, the secondary ingredient thereof is Cr, purity thereof is 99.5% or higher, and the amounts of all elements mixed of C, Al, Si, Ti, Zr and Mn therein are 0.05% or lower, is used as the magnetic material for forming a ferromagnetic layer through evaporation. Accordingly, a medium, which mass-produces an evaporated magnetic tape, a disk, etc. and stabilizes their quality, can be obtained by employing the alloy in Co and Cr, purity thereof is 99.5% or higher and which is comparatively cheap.
