CONSTITUTION:The alloy, the principal ingredient thereof is Co, the secondary ingredient thereof is Ni, purity thereof is 99.5% or higher and the amounts of all elements mixed of C, Al, Si, Ti and Zr therein are 0.05% or lower, is used as the magnetic material for forming a ferromagnetic layer through evaporation. Accordingly, a medium, which mass-produces an evaporated magnetic tape, a disk, etc. and stabilizes their quality, can be obtained by employing the alloy in Co and Ni, purity thereof is 99.5% or higher.
