Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide amorphous magnetic material showing no changes with time in magnetic characteristics and having stable properties, by forming alloy consisting of Fe, Co, Ni, Zr in specific ratio.
CONSTITUTION: Amorphous alloy having a composition shown by the following formula: (Fe1-x-yCoxNiy)70W90Zr30W20, where 0≤x≤1, 0≤y≤1. Said alloy is rapidly cooled using rolles so as to form into amorphous ribbon. The material has excellent corrosion resistance and wear resistance, and a high Curie point, and is an excellent material for an audio device, a VTR device, and a computer, etc.
