Abstract
The core, which is composed of magnetically permeable material, consists of L-shaped core laminates (12). Every four core laminates (12) form a layer (45a) of a stack (45). In order to form the layer (45a), two core laminates (12) are assembled to form a T-shape (47) and two core laminates are assembled to form a U-shape (49). This core is particularly suitable for input inductors. It is cheap to produce since the core laminates have a simple shape and can thus be stamped at a low cost and without material loss. <IMAGE>
