Abstract
PURPOSE: To effectively utilize waste energy as propulsive force by rotating a cylindrical structure with waste energy of the main engine.
CONSTITUTION: When the main engine 2 operates, exhaust gas of about 300°C resulted form combustion of fuel gas comes up through an exhaust duct 6. At his stage, heat is recovered by an exhaust gas economizer 7, after which the exhaust gas is released to the open air. A steam water mixture fluid generated in the exhaust gas economizer 7 is introduced into a stream water separator drum 10, from where only steam is introduced to a steam turbine 8 which operates a generator 9. The surplus power generated therefrom is supplied through a line l2 to a driving device 11, the operation of which rotates a cylindrical structure A by means of a level gear 23. A lift is generated by this rotation which provides forward or transverse propulsive force to the ship.
