Abstract
PURPOSE: To spare fuel by operating the generator by a propelling force and a dynamic pressure water stream.
CONSTITUTION: A room having a partition wall 11 is equipped at a part of the double bottom of the hull, and a generator 1, pipelines 7 and 8, outboard valves 3a and 6a, a suction valve 4a and an outboard valve 5a are provided in the room. The water stream having a speed dut to the nevigation of the vessel and a dynamic pressure passes through a grate 10 rotates a water wheel 2 for generating power via the outboard valve 3a, suction valve 4a and suction pipe 7 from a seawater suction port (a) and drives the generator 1. Exhaust water is discharged out of the vessel from an exhaust pipe 8 via the exhaust valve 5a and an outboard valve 6.
