Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent damage of a photosensitive body, which is caused by a developer, and to use the photosensitive body for many hours by said effect, by injecting the charge of a potential image formed on a solitary electric conductor, in the developer, making the developer adhere onto an image receiving member, and forming a picture. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive body is constituted of a transparent supporting body 1, a trnsparent electrode 4, an opaque electrode 3, a photoconductive layer 2 and a solitary electric conductor 5. An original picture 7 is irradiated to a photosensitive body 6 by a lens 9, and a picture is exposed. At the same time, as for the photosensitive body, voltage Va is applied between the electrode 4 and the electrode 3, distributed voltage between the electrode 4 and the electric conductor 5, and between the electric conductor 5 and the electrode 3 is made to cause a voltage difference by a light pass area, and a potential image is formed by the potential variation of the electric conductor 5 generated in accordance with this difference. Charge of this potential image is injected to a developer 33 through an electric conductor 32 and a stylus electrode 31, by which the developer adheres to an image receiving member 35 consisting of an insulating layer 18 and a conductive layer 19, and a picture is formed. In this way, the surface of the photosensitive body is not damaged.
