Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the exfoliation of a pellet and to improve the yield of a bonding method by adhering adhesive to several positions in the pellet mounting regions of a substrate and rubbing the pellet on the substrate to bond it. CONSTITUTION:Silver paste is adhered to five positions in the pellet mounting region 7 of a substrate 3 made of tabs of a lead frame, and small semispherical lump 4 is formed. A pellet 6 is attracted by vacuum by a collet and is thus held, is urged on the five lump 4, is then rubbed and is mounted on a substrate 3. Since the exfoliation of the pellet and the adherence of the silver pellet to the collet are not taken place, it can improve the yield of a pellet bonding method.
