Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic modulation type magnetic sensor of simple winding work by joining cores having a T-shaped section in all directions to make a closed magnetic path, and disposing a solenoid coil giving excitation magnetic fields therein. CONSTITUTION:Coils 7, 8 for detection are wound on a bobbin 9 enclosing a magnetic body 5. The cores 5, 14 of magnetic materials are made by joining cores having a section of a T shape in all directions to create a magnetic path, and a solenoid coil 6 therein applies excitation magnetic fields. Exciting electric current of sufficiently large AC is flowed into such coil 6, whereby the magnetic flux densities of the cores 5, 14 are alterately excited up to a saturation region. Thereby, the induced electromotive force coresponding to the change in the magnetic fields passing the coes 5, 14 is generated in the coil 7, and the magnitude thereof is proportional to the magnitude of the external magnetic field. The modulation type magnetic sensor is made easy to wind and is suitable for mass production by constituting the winding thereof into such construction.
