Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to simply erase the leakage magnetic flux resulting from excitation of a control winding, by a method wherein two saturable current transformers of substantially the same capcity are connected to one phase of a self- excited AC generator, and control windings thereof are excited so as to be opposite in polarity to each other. CONSTITUTION:The saturable current transformers 4S1, 4S2 of substantially the same capacity, having respective iron cores 8 arranged closely contacting with each other, are connected to each of phases of an AC generator, and respective control windings 4C thereof are excited so as to be opposite in polarity to each other. The output current of the generator, detected by the saturable current transformers 4S1, 4S2, is supplied to a field winding. Thereby, because exciting the control windings allows the sum of the leakage magnetic flux generated in the saturable current transformers 4S1, 4S2 to be zero, there is no possibility that leakage magnetic flux may appear to the outside.
