Abstract

PURPOSE: To allow linear flow control of a solenoid valve with a computor, by a method wherein arranging two permanent magnets with their surfaces of the same polarity facing each other and making relation between applied voltage and displacement of both magnets to be linear.
CONSTITUTION: When power supply is connected to the solenoid coil, and a certain voltage is achieved, attractive force acting on the moving core by exciting the solenoid coil overpowers the repulsive force of the permanent magnet and the valve separates from the valve seat, together with moving core and stops at the position where attractive force of solenoid coil and repulsive force of the permanent magnet balances. Namely, the gap between the valve and the valve seat changes in proportion to the applied voltage. Because the fluid passes through holes a, b, c, d, e and the flow rate via a through hole 2 is proportional to the cross sectional area of the valve seat, and the linear control of flow can be performed by a computor.
