CONSTITUTION:In an electromagnet device for printer comprising a core 1 excited by an exciter coil 2 and an armature 3 attracted by the coil 1, the attractive force for the armature 3 is enhanced by tapering the side portion of the pole face of the core 1 so as to reduce the areas of pole faces of the core 1, particulary the area of the pole face 1a where the magnetic resistance across the face and the armature 3 is larger.
