Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve performance of cleaning by providing an AC destaticizing and charging device at an intermediate place between a transferring place and a cleaning place with a fur-brush so that the device is made to oppose to a photoreceptor drum and by superposing DC bias voltage of polarity reverse to the polarity of toner to apply it. CONSTITUTION:A positive image formed through a developing device 6 is transferred onto a transfer paper 7 through a transfer charging device 8, and after the paper 7 was separated from a photoreceptor drum 1 through a separation charging device 9, remaining charge on the drum 1 is eliminated through an AC distaticizing and charging device 10, then the toner and the dust which are sticking on the drum are removed by a fur-brush 11. At this time, by applying DC bias voltage to the device 10 so that DC component of AC discharge is made to change, excellent performance of cleaning is attained.
