Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate such a defect as producing an anomalous image from a transfer image due to the separation discharge and form a colored image with no color discrepancy on the transfer paper by driving a transfer belt of two layers of different resistance values synchronously with the rotation of a photoreceptor.
CONSTITUTION: Transfer belt 19 is trained over the rollers 14, 17, etc. The transfer belt 19 is provided with the coated layer 19b whose volume specific resistance 108W 1012 Ωcm and non-coated band portion 19c in the width directin on the insulator film whose volume specific resistance more than 1015 Ωcm.
