Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve spurious characteristics by inserting a frequency mixer between the 1st and 2nd monolithic filters and by equalizing a local oscillation frequency applied to the frequency mixer to the sum of the passing frequencies of those filters. CONSTITUTION:A signal supplied between input terminals 5 and 6 is supplied to a frequency mixer 13 through a bipolar monolithic filter 11 formed on a piezoelectric substrate 1. To the frequency mixer 13, a signal of a frequency fL is applied from a local oscillator 14. The output signal of the frequency mixer 13 apears between output terminals 7 and 8 through a multipolar monolithic filter 15. Here, when the passing frequencies of the filters 11 and 15 are f1 and f2 are fL=f1+f2, spurious characteristics appearing at the filter 11 move to a part lower than a passing frequency range when applied to the filter 15, and never overlap with those of the filter 15, thereby improving the characteristics.
