Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize the variation of the output voltage over a wide range and at the same time to reduce the power consumption, by forming a level converting circuit by the MOSFETs and then directly connecting a logical circuit in a drive pulse generating circuit to the level converting circuit. CONSTITUTION:A pulse train given from a logical circuit 701 is supplied to a CMOS inverter comprising P and N type MOSFETs 703 and 704. The sources of the FETs 703 and 704 are connected to high- and low-level voltage generators 705 and 706 which are controlled by the circuit 701. Accordingly the CMOS inverter has a switching action to the voltage of the generators 705 and 706 in a range by which the conditions according to the threshold voltage of the FETs 703 and 704 can be satisfied, and can produce the voltage which is varied in a wide range. Furthermore the logical circuit can directly be connected to a level converting circuit since the FTEs 703 and 704 have high levels of impedance. At the same time, either one of the FETs 703 and 704 is always cut off to prevent the increase of power consumption.
