Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure generation of the pulse signals through the circuit featuring a small number of the elements by feeding the inverter output of the next step back to the driving transistor of the inverter of the first step.
CONSTITUTION: The source of inverter TRQ5 of the next step comprising TRQ4 and Q5 which connect each other at coupling point A3 is connected to coupling point A2 of TRQ2 and Q3 forming the driving transistor of TRQ1 in the inverter of the first step. In such constitution, voltage VA2 at point A2 lowers down to OV against input voltage Vin, and at the same time output node voltage VA1 of the first-step inverter also lowers down to OV. In response to this change, the transient current flows to TRQ5 to cause the negative pulse at output node A3 of the next- step inverter. Thus, a simplified pulse generating circuit is obtained with a small number of the circuit elements.
