Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption at switching, by connecting p channel MOSFET or n channel MOSFET to the input side of a CMOS inverter as a pull-up circuit or pull-down circuit. CONSTITUTION:In a pulse circuit in which an RC time constant circuit is connected to the input side of a CMOS inverter 4 and a given time axis operation is made to the input signal, a p channel MOSFET7 is connected between the TRC time constant circuit and the inverter 4 as a pull-up resistance. Further, the source, drain and gate of the p channel MOSFET7 are respectively connected to the input, power supply voltage VDD and output of the inverter 4. When the input IN changes from ''L'' to ''H'', the output of a NAND circuit 3 changes from ''H'' to ''L'', and it is at ''L'' level when the input side potential of the inverter 4 reaches the logic threshold value, and the p channel MOSFET7 is conductive, the input side potential of the inverter 4 is pulled up to VDD quickly and the through-current is quickly decreased.
