Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the large capacity data transfer efficient, by enabling to designate the basic unit length of data transfer in block or byte unit. CONSTITUTION:Normally, transfer in byte unit is made, but at the transfer mode in block unit, a block transfer mode input terminal is at 1 and the gate of an AND 10 is closed. The number of blocks of data for data transfer is inputted to the data length of a channel command word 1 and the in-block byte number defined by the user is set to a block register 4. The content is set to a counter 5 and the signal transmitted every data transfer end in byte unit decreases the content of the counter 5 one by one. As a result, the transfer end signal is produced for every transfer of block length.
