PURPOSE:To preform an abnormal amorphous electromagnetic material inferior in the magnetic properties into the substance having specified magnetic properties, by grinding the amorphous metal sheet manufactured by single-roll cooling in the atmospheric air. CONSTITUTION:For instance, in case where the molten amorphous alloy of Fe-B- Si is made into a sheet of amorphous electromagnetic material chilled and solidified after jetted from a nozzle on the surface of a cooling roll rotating with high speed in the atmospheric air, sheets with low magnetic permeability and inferior in the magnetization properties are sometimes produced among those with high magnetic permeability and low iron loss owing to some fluctuation in the manufacturing conditions. Said sheets can be made into those having the properties of high magnetic permeability, for instance, by grinding as much as 0.5mum in the 20% solution of hydrofluoric acid, whereby the grinding can be mechanical grinding as well as chemical grinding.
