Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily manufacture a high permeability alloy sheet and enhance the properties of the sheet by adding a specific amount of C to an Fe-Al-Si high permeability alloy followed by heat melting and rapid cooling.
CONSTITUTION: 0.05W3wt% C is added to an Fe-Al-Si high permeability alloy to lower the m.p. of the alloy, and the C-added alloy is melted by heating. This molten alloy is then cooled rapidly by being spouted from a nozzle upon the surface of a rotating cooling body to obtain a metal sheet. This sheet has a uniform thickness, small surface roughness and enough magnetic characteristics for practical use.
