Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a Cu alloy with superior strength and electric conductivity by properly heat treating a Cu alloy member contg. a specified amt. of Fe and P.
CONSTITUTION: The Cu alloy contains Fe 0.2W0.8wt% and P 0.1W0.3wt%. The Cu alloy of the above compsn. is refined in a high frequency melting furnace, cast in a mold, planed, and hot rolled to a plate at 900°C. This plate is cold rolled to a sheet while carrying out process annealing at 400W600°C, thus manufacturing a high tensile Cu alloy with superior electric conductivity and mechanical strength suitable for use as a material for a heat exchanger and electric and electronic appliance parts.
