Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance constant permeability, by melting an alloy composed of Fe as the principal component and also of a kind or more than two kinds of submetals, such as P, C, B, Si, etc. and Al at respectively particular ratios, and then, by cooling it rapidly in oxidizing atmosphere to produce a thin strip. CONSTITUTION:After melting raw material composed of 0.3-5atom% of A , 13-25atom% in total of a kind or more than two kinds of submetals such as P, C, B, Si, etc., and Fe as the remainder, an amorphous thin strip is manufactured by casting at a cooling speed of 10<4>-10<6> deg.C/sec in oxidizing atmosphere using liquid quenching method such as centrifugal cooling process, etc. It is possible, by doing so, to expand the range of magnetic field showing constant permeability, and to provide an iron core simply by coiling the thin strip in a troidal shape, the steel core assembling process can be simplified.
