Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an amorphous alloy with a wide-range constant permeability, by forming an oxide film on the surface of the amorphous alloy. CONSTITUTION:After melting a raw material composed, for example, of 74- 84atom% of Fe and remaining part consisting of a kind or more than two kinds of submetal (Si, B, C, P), a thin strip of an amorphous alloy is formed, cooling it by a continuous thin strip manufacturing device at a cooling speed of 10<5>- 10<6> deg.C/sec. And then, after preparing a magnetic core by coiling this thin strip into a troidal shape, it is annealed in oxidizing atmosphere at an annealing temperature ranging from 250 deg.C to crystallizing temperature for an annealing time ranging from 1min to 120min, so that a thin oxide film is formed on the surface of the thin strip. It is possible, by doing so, to provide the thin strip of amorphous alloy with a wide-range constant permeability.
