Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable a geometrical and efficient measuring of a distace to an object to be measured, positioned at an intermediate distance, in a noncontact manner, by a method wherein a light-emitting light and a light-receiving light are utilized two-dimentionally. CONSTITUTION:When an object 20 to be measured exists at a x-distance from a measuring base line 2a-2'a and the surface is positioned in parallel to the base line 2a-2'a, a light-emitting part 10 emits laser light or straight-advancing light. A rotary mirror 2 reflects te light-emitting light which, in turn, is into a radial form to scan the object 20 to be measured. An amount of the reflection light from the object 20 increases such that an amount of light which enters into a rotary mirror 2', increases gradually in a process, during which the reflection spot of the reflection light passes through a A-point, and becomes a maximum and the A- point. A light-receiving amount at a light-receiving part 12 also becomes a maximum thereupon. An incident light to the object 20 to be measured and its reflecting light form an equilateral triangle in which the base line 2a-2'a forms a base side. As a result, the detection of a current theta causes finding of a distance x from the base line 2a-2'a to the object 20 from an equality of x=ltantheta.
