Abstract

PURPOSE: Raw Spirulina is subjected to autolysis under alkaline conditions to produce a solution composition of liquefied Spirulina having increased digestibility and absorbability and showing growth acceleration.
CONSTITUTION: A raw algae of Spirulina such as Apirulina maxima or Spirulina platensis is subjected to autolysis in an alkaline aqueous solution of 8.0W11.5, preferably 9W10pH at 25W55°C to produce the objective solution composition that is a dispersion containing the autolyzed solution of Spirulina, contains at least 20% nitrogen originating from nonproteins based on the total nitrogen originating from the Spirulina and a substance with the maximum absorption at 260nm as an optical characteristic.
