Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a deoxidizer suitably serving to store candies, fruits, fur coats, etc., in an enclosed system without causing the rise of pressure of the enclosed system, by compounding ferrous carbonate and an alkali (earth) metal hydroxide.
CONSTITUTION: For example, a deoxidizer is prepared by compounding 1pts.wt. ferrous carbonate (a), having a specific surface area of approx. 20m2/g or more (preferably 50m2/g or more), and approx. 0.02W10pts.wt. (preferably 0.05W 1pt.wt.) an alkali metal hydroxide (e.g., sodium hydroxide) and/or an alkaline earth metal hydroxide (e.g., calcium hydroxide) (b). Said deoxidizer uses preferably 3W15g of ferrous carbonate per 100ml of oxygen to be removed, and also the enclosed system must contain approx. 14W35wt% water on the basis of ferrous carbonate.
