Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the deoxidizer which causes little pressure change in a container, by using ferrous carbonate, quicklime and/or ettringite for the deoxidizer.
CONSTITUTION: A composite material, which comprises ferrous carbonate, quicklime and/or ettringite and may contain a hydroxide of alkali metal or alkaline earth metal if necessary, is used as a deoxidizer which causes little pressure change in a container. With the deoxidizer, the pressure in the container can be almost maintained within a fixed range. Therefore, there is no fear of deformation, damage or the like about the container, the deoxidizer can be used without anxiety and the range of utilization of the deoxidizer is wide.
