Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce a mixed fuel efficiently by a method wherein a static mixer for a fuel mixer is separated into two stages and a pipe having a slightly larger diameter is placed between the two stages. CONSTITUTION:The static mixer 1, 1' is separated into the first stage and the second stage, each of which stages is placed vertically, and the two stages are connected to each other by the pipe 2 having a slightly larger diameter. When a heavy oil A and water with a surface active agent B are simultaneously fed into the first- stage static mixer 1, the water B flows in company with the heavy oil A having a lower specific gravity although the water B slightly descends relatively to the oil A due to the relation between their specific gravities. This phenomenon is increased in the pipe 2 and also in the second-stage static mixer 1', resulting in a sufficient mixing. Accordingly, a mixed fuel in an emulsified form is produced effectively and economically.
