PURPOSE:To prevent lowering of the printed image quality, in an on-demand type ink jet system, by a method wherein, after piezo-vibration element driving signal for injection a main particle is applied, an auxiliary drive signal is applied to absorb satelite by the ink particle accoding to the auxiliary signal. CONSTITUTION:A typewriting control circuit 21 applies a typewriting order a to a type timing generator 22 based on a typewriting data and, based on said order, a type timing signal b is applied to a drive circuit 23. Further, the circuit 21 applies a sub-signal C to a drive circuit 23 in a final particle injected timing in continuously injecting the ink. When a piezo-vibration element 24 is driven by a piezo-vibration element driving signal d synchronous to the signals b, c, an ink particle 41 is injected in a condition synchronous to the initial signal b and an ink particle 47 synchronous to the signal c but, because satelite 49 generated when the ink particle 41 changed to 42 45 with the elapse of time is slow in its speed, it is absorbed when the succeeding particle 47 is in a shape 50. Thereby, dots 46, 53 without satelite are formed.
