Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent hot blast valves from being damaged, enhance the operating efficiency and block is the continued increase of load by a method wherein the temporary communication established, at the time of change-over from or to the combustion state of one hot blast stove to or form the hot blast supply state of the other hot blast stove, between the two hot blast stoves.
CONSTITUTION: In three or more hot blast stoves such as H1WH4, tubes of each stove communicate to main tubes common to all the stoves as follows: flue tubes 17 and 17 communicate to a flue main tube 16; a pressure equalizing and exhausting tube 25 to a pressure equalizing tube 23; a blast pipe 20 to a blast main 19 led from a blower 18; a hot blast tube 22 to a hot blast supply main tube 21 to send hot blast to an object 26 of hot blast supply. Each of the hot blast stoves H1WH4 consists of a combustion chamber 14 equipped with a combustion apparatus 13 and a regenerator 15. Under the condition that the hot blast stoves H1, H2 are in the combustion state and the hot blast stoves H3, H4 are in the hot blast supply state, in order to change-over the stove H1 in the hot blast supply state and the stove H3 in the combustion state, it is necessary to manage valves as follows: at the stove H1, a gas source valve 1, a gas shut-off valve 2, an air shut-off valve 3 and a smoke tube valve 5 are closed in order and an exhaust pressure valve 4 is opened; at the stove H3, according to the signal to notify the completion of the closing of the smoke tube valve 5 of the stove H1, a blast valve 7 and a hot blast valve 9 are closed and, after that, an exhaust vlave 4 is opened to temporarily communicate the stoves H1 and H3 with each other.
