Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for fuel of a high cost and high calorific value by branching part of the hot wind to be supplied from a hot stove in a blasting period to a blast furnace and utilizing this as air for combustion for the hot stoves inthe combustion period.
CONSTITUTION: Hot stoves 1a, b, c for a blast furnace are operated by repeating the combustion period when fuel is burned and heat is accumulated in the hot stoves and the blasting period when cold wind is heated and hot wind is supplied to a blast furnace 3. The blast furnace 3 flowed back into the hot stoves 1b, c, in the combustion period is burned by the hot wind flowed back from part of the hot wind out from the hot stove 1a in the blasting period. More spcifically, part of the hot wind supplied to the furnace 3 from the hot stove 1a through a hot wind valve 7a, and conduits 25a, 25, 28 is supplied as air for combustion by opening the hot wind valves 10b, c of the branch pipes 30b, c provided to the conduit 25.
