Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the combustion efficiency and thermal efficiency of the combustion chamber of hot stoves by providing one common combustion chamber with respect to plural units of hot stoves for a blast furnace and continuing combustion at all times.
CONSTITUTION: In hot stoves for a blast furnace, one unit of combustion chamber 2 is provided for plural regenerators 1. The valves of the respective associated sections of the regenerator 1 to be heated to accumulate are closed, stack valvers 30, 30' are opened and the air cutoff valve 25 of the combustion chamber 2 is opened to run a fan 22 for combustion burner. Next, a gas valve 20 and a gas cutoff valve 21 are opened to put the combustion chamber 2 into a combustion state. When the checker works 1 are heated to a predetermined temp., an air charging valve 8 is opened. After the fixed air charging time, a blast valve 10, a hot air valve 13 and a cold air valve 12 are opened to send hot air into the blast furnace 17 at the time when the pressure in the checker works 1 and a mixing chamber 3 become equal to the blast pressure of the other hot stoves making blasting. Since by this method the combustion chamber may be reduced by half with respect to number of hot stoves, the combustion efficiency of the combustion chamber improves.
