Abstract
PURPOSE: To maintain superior operation for durability by a method wherein a cooling boiler is provided in the passage of hot discharge gases from a refuse incinerator. Temperature of gases at the outlet of the cooling boiler is controlled by adjusting quantity of circulating water in a grouped heat transmission pipes.
CONSTITUTION: Signals from a temperature detector 10 which is built in the cooling boiler for the refuse incinerator 1 and a detrimental gas remover 3 which is connected to the cooling boiler are transmitted to step control valves 11 which are provided at respective sections of the grouped heat transmission pipes 7 at the outlet of the boiler in order to reduce step by step or shut off circulating water in each heat transmission pipe, heat of which is absorped from the boiler. This can control quantity of heat absorbing from the boiler whereby discharged gases at boiler outlet is automatically controlled. Controlling is performed for each section from the boiler discharge outlet toward the inlet side successively. As the maximum temperature of the heat transmitting pipes is less than that of the discharged gases at the discharge outlet of the boiler, durability of the heat transmission pipe cannot be impaired.
