Abstract

PURPOSE: To well atomize a fuel by disposing the opening of an auxiliary air passage at the place adjacent to the nozzle of a fuel injection valve so that it may face a heating part at the lower surface of the inner wall of an intake port neary intersecting the center of the nozzle.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel injection valve 9 is disposed, in the direction of a trampet- shaped part 6a of an intake valve 6, within an intake maniford 3 in the downstream of a throttle valve 2. The air in an upstream of the valve 2 may be introduced to an adaptor 15, where an fuel injection valve 9 is mounted, through an auxiliary air passage 16, while the air introduced to the tip end of the valve 9 via the adaptor 15 is jetted via an passage 17a with its opening in the upper side of an atomizer 18. Therefore, the air flow from the upper side of a fuel flow dashes against the fuel flow, whereby the fuel flow is forced to head toward a heating part 5a formed at a cylinder head 4 and the fuel is well mixed with the air and is well atomized.
