Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a temperature sensing function in an IC by regulating a reference resistance value in the IC according to temperature. CONSTITUTION:Resistors 40 and 41 being a temperature sensor are different in temperature coeffients. Switching of transmission gates T0-T15 is done successively by scanning of a counter 20. The gates T0-T15 are sweeped only once, and when the output of a differential amplifier 24 is high, gates T20, T23 turn ON by a S21 signal while gates T21, T22 turn OFF. Thereby, the voltages of reference resistances R0-R14 to be compared are switched. Under said state, the T0-T15 are sweeped, and when the output of the differetial amplifier 24 is high, the similar operation is repeated until a low state is obtained. At a time point of inversion, the value of the counter 20 becomes a signal indicating temperature at that time.
