Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to attain various control on a digital system, etc., by using fewer control lines by assigning several signal levels of external control signals corresponding to fixed operation modes or functions. CONSTITUTION:Analog control voltage V applied to terminal 2 is preset to four levels states of 0, 1, 2, and 3V, for example, which correspond to four different control states. The values of this voltage V are discriminated by comparators 7 to 9, whose outputs S1 to S3 are inputted to logic circuit 16 composed of gate circuits 12 to 15, so that one of output terminals 3 to 6 will be made logic ''1'' depending upon the value of voltage V. The digital system connected to this output terminal is supplied with a required control signal to make a required operation mode or function effective. In this way, the system can be controlled by indicating four states via one control line.
