Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a circuit which provides easy and precise measurement of small variation of a difference between a reference value and measured value by expanding the scale value of an indicator as to the small variation around the reference value, in a system where the difference varies greately.
CONSTITUTION: Although current (iM)1-73 to be measured is integrated by operational amplifier 1-8, output VO of it depends upon coefficient resistance 1-9 or 2-4. Now, denoting resistances 1-9 and 2-4 by R and R' results in VO=R×iM. Here, changing coefficient resistance 2-4 over to the 2-4 side with R'=2R obtains VO= R'×iM, thereby obtaining a double output voltage by the same input (iM). Namely, (1/2)IM to fullscale value IM can be expanded to the full scale and variation around the reference value can be measured with a double scale value. As a result, the coefficient resistance is only changed over by push button switch 2-1 for expansion measurement; several coefficient resistance circuits are used corresponding to the degree of the expansion and resistance values are selected, so that multi-range fine measurement can be attained by one instrumentation circuit.
