Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to use stably a pressure/resistance transducer for a long time and facilitate transduction to another output, by driving the reed switch of an incorporated three-terminal potentiometer without contact by the small-size permanent magnet fixed to the needle of a pressure gauge and by making it possible to take out a resistance output proportional to the input pressure.
CONSTITUTION: In the Bourdon tube pressure gauge, a small-size permanent magnet is fixed to the needle, and for example, 51 reed switches S0WS50 are provided in positions corresponding to graduations oppositely to the permanent magnet on the reverse face of the scale plate. 50 Resistances of the same resistance value are arranged in series between terminal T0 and T50 for one ends of these switches. The other terminals of reed switches are connected to terminal T commonly. Since the reed switch in the needle position corresponding to input pressure is turned on, this circuit forms a three-terminal potentiometer, and a resistance output proportional to the input voltage can be taken out between terminals T0 and T. This output can be converted easily to another output such as a current, a voltage and a frequency. Further, this unit can be used stably for a long time.
