Abstract

PURPOSE:To miniaturize a clock by using a Wheatstone bridge formed with integrated resistors of different temperature factors for the detection of temperatures. CONSTITUTION:The temperature factors of resistors R1, R2 which form a bridge are set to alpha(1/ deg.C), beta(1/ deg.C) to equalize the temperature factors of resistors R3, R4. The resistance value of the resistor R4 can be varied in order by the sweep of a counter. When the resistance vllue has exceeded R4/R3=R10(1+alphat)/R20(1+betat), (wherein R10, R20 have values equal to those of R1, R2 when t is zero), an output from a comparator C is changed from a high level to a low level. A value in the counter at this time is that of a signal representing a temperature. Thus, a temperature sensor portion and a logical gradient portion can be integrally circuited and provided in the same tip as an integral circuit for the clock. This allows a clock to be miniaturized.
