When the volume number is read, the part 3 transmits the number to a display register 5. Then the volume number and the ''BUSY'' display signal are displayed at display parts 7 and 10 respectively. In case the pack is not set although a job began to run, a display part 9 displays ''WAIT FOR MOUNT'' based on the program set to a memory 4. When the job is over to the pack 11, a display part 8 displays ''EMPTY''.
