Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable whether copying can be made or not to be judged at a glance by providing detecting means that permit copying only when an operating part unit is inserted to the electrophotographic machine side. CONSTITUTION:An operating part unit 5 is provided with a ten key part 52 and a numerical value display device 53 on a sloped panel face 5A. The ten key part 52 consists of a copying sheet number set key group 52A consisting of register key groups, and an original copy size assignment key group 52B. The numerical value display device 53 consists of a part 53A displaying the copying set number having been set with the copying sheet number set key group 52A and a part 53B displaying the copying sheet number actually copied. The codes consisting of magnetic marks provided to an operating part unit 5 are read by a CPU, by which whether the unit 5 is equipped or not is decided and the state that the electrophotographic machine is ready to start cycle is displayed.
