Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate inconvenience on the usage of cassette tape, by displaying the position of non-signal part between signals recorded on the magnetic tape on the display element constituting the display unit, through fast feed or rewinding.
CONSTITUTION: In the tape recorder providing the function to control the running operation of magnetic tape through the detection of non-signal part between signals such as music recorded on the magnetic tape, the tape position detection circuit 5 outputs the signal indicating the position of magnetic tape by detecting and comparing the number of recolutions of the winding reel shaft 1 and the supply reel shaft 2. On the other hand, the non-signal part detection circuit 7 detects non-signal part from the signal reproduced by the magnetic head 6. The display board 9 of the display unit 8 displaying the position of the tape and non-signal part has a number of display elements 10 such as liquid crystal, to perform fast feed or rewinding of magnetic tape and the position of the non-signal part is displayed on the display element 10.
