CONSTITUTION:A reference signal based on the output of rotating speed detectors 3 and 4 which detect the rotating speed of reel stands 1 and 2 at tape beginningg end, and an output signal of the detectors 3, 4 on the way of tape run are operated at operation circuits 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 which produce tape speed signals. The output of the operating circuits is taken as a tape counter display signal.
